Wholesale Key

• Wholesale Key or Your Key List Name - Enter a correct Wholesale Key that was given to you or your own Key List Name. A Wholesale Key allows you to view the issuing company's Lumber Trader items. Each company can make it's own Wholesale Key and place items onto the Lumber Trader Search Engine that only holders of their Wholesale Key may view. If you maintain a 'Key List' you may wish to enter the Key List Name instead. This allows you to view items from all of the comapanies that gave you a Wholesale Key (provided you placed it on your list).
  Remember! a Wholesale Key or Key List Name format is... ##########-XXXXXXXX (Company Id Code + '-' + Key Name or List Identifier).

Search Info

• Category - Click on the window to display all of the available Categories. Click on the Category that you wish to 'Search' in.

• Item Search String - Enter the partial 'Description' of the items you wish to search for. For a search that results in ANY or ALL of the above 'Category' entered, leave this field blank! Hint! Use search criteria that will produce more results than fewer! Try to enter just the first few characters of the description you're searching for. Multiple words are allowed! Examples: '2x' will get 2x2...2x4...2x6...etc... 'DF' will only get 'DF'. It will NOT get 'D.F.' or 'Doug Fir'. Try just 'D'. Use your industry standards wherever you can!
  

• City - Enter the City, if any, you wish to search in! If you are not sure leave this field blank!

• State - Enter the State, if any, you wish to search in! If you are not sure leave this field blank!

• Country - Enter the Country, if any, you wish to search in! If you are not sure leave this field blank!

Match Criteria

• Match Criteria - This tells the Lumber Trader system how to match your Item Search String entered! Click on the radio button for the Match Criteria you desire. Explanations are below.

  • Any Match - Click on this option if you want to match any word(s) entered with that Category. This is the RECOMMENDED option. This may produce more matches than you desire but you will at least cover the desired ones. Example: A search of '2x4 2x6 2x8' will produce all items in that particular Category that have a '2x4' or '2x6' or '2x8' anywhere in the Item Description. If you have entered '2x DF STD'...the system will return any items for that Category that have a '2x' or 'DF' or 'STD' in the Item Description.

  • Exact Match - Click on this option if you want to match ALL words entered EXACTLY in the order the were entered. This will produce less matches but they will be more targeted. Example: A search of '2x6 D.F. STD & BTR' will produce any items that have EXACTLY that search criteria located in the Item Description field.
